Welcome to The Swiss Laundry

The Swiss Laundry has occupied the former site of a tannery on Cherry Hinton Road since 1904. Our name "Swiss" is derived initially from the Swiss finish given to table linen, popular at this time, but over the years we have built up a strong recognisable brand based on all things "Swiss". Reliability, quality, efficiency and a clean freshness are all features that one associates with Switzerland and hence we use the Swiss flag as our logo.

The Turvill family has controlled the Swiss laundry for over 70 years, with Guy Turvill, the current Managing Director being the third generation of his family in the post. The business continues to be run on "old fashioned" family values with a real focus on detail and customer service.

The company continues to provide specialist laundry, linen hire and dry cleaning services. Through a combination of investment in the latest energy efficient technology, using the best available solvents and chemicals and by employing skilled employees, we like to think we provide an unrivalled level of performance and service.
